Katas Raj Temples

Katas raj temples, famous Hindu worshipping place in Pakistan, is known for its centered pool amongst hundred temples that are thousands of years old.  While travelling through motorway from Kallar Kahar, at the distance of 15 km is a place called Choa Saidanshah. It is 40 km south of Chakwal. From Choa Saidanshah at the distance of about 5 km an ancient assemblage of ruins can be seen. These ruins are called ‘Katas Raj Temples’ and occupy an area of around 260 kanals. (more…)

Skardu

It is a town in district Skardu in Gilgit Baltistan. It is located in the Skardu valley which is 10 km wide and 40 km long in the union of the Indus and Shigar rivers. It is the largest district of northern areas. Skardu is most popular among mountaineers for it lies between two largest mountain ranges in the world, namely the Karakorum and the Himalayas. It is also famous among people trekking to high altitudes like to Baltoro glacier, K2 base camp and Concordia. (more…)
